Backing up pure tasks...!??

The process described here will include all tasks and notes (both with and without due dates).
To view this file in another program, your software will need to be able to handle an iCalendar file that contains tasks (I'm not too sure about Outlook's iCalendar support, sorry). You could always try something like Mozilla Sunbird to open the file.
