SMS Reminders with O2

I have been trying to set up SMS Reminders with my O2 phone in the UK. I have read previous topics on this and sent "ON" to 212, receiving my mmail.co.uk account. However, while e-Mail reminders work fine and almost instantly, I get nothing on my phone. I have tried to add my number in the "077...", "+4477...." and "+4477...@mmail.co.uk" formats, with no success.
Has anyone managed to get it working with O2 mobiles?
