Number of hours in a day

Best case, I'd like it to tell me I have 6 days of work, based on a seven-hour productive day. Next best case, I'd like it to just give me 42 hours. 1 day and 18 hours? Not very useful.
This is my one minor gripe with software that I otherwise absolutely adore, so I wanted to check if there was a way to work around this that I just hadn't managed to find.
