Newbie MilkSync question
pwolchak says:
Hi. I could not see this mentioned in the FAQ for MilkSync.
The MilkSync page says it can sync OTA or through the cradle. I want MilkSync to work only through the cradle, as mobile data plans in Canada are both skimpy and expensive.
However, there is no setting in the Menu that specifies which way the software should operate, and when I tapped on Sync it warned me that a full sync might take a while and the 3G symbol on my Windows Treo lit up and an icon started to rotate.
So it seems to me MilkSync is working over my cellular data connection.
How can I ensure it only uses the cradle sync?
Peter

Set it to only sync manually - then only sync when you are connected to the pc via a usb cable

Ah. Okay, if that's the case it would be a good idea for RTM to word this area of the app a little more clearly.
You're saying the app defaults to cradle sync if it is in the cradle at the time, but this is not clear.
If this is the case then that will work.
Thanks for the reply.

This is standard WinMo behavior but yes the app or the documentation should point this out
