Any Way to Disable Smooth Scrolling the Sidebar (in IE)?

I was wondering if there's any way to turn off the "smooth scrolling"
behavior of the sidebar in Internet Explorer? I use RTM as an active
desktop in Windows XP, but the smooth scrolling makes it too slow.
