firefox, netvibes tabs and rtm refreshing problem.

robin.carriere says:
I'm not sure if this is specific to RTM or netvibes - but thought I would throw it out there. I have multiple RTM modules setup in netvibes each pointing its own specific list of tasks in RTM. For example:

Work Tab - Project A tasks, project B tasks, other work tasks.
Home Tab - Home chores, other DIY tasks.
Pet project Tab - Other RTM Tasks

When I login for the first time, I have to click on every (netvibes) tab and load the RTM module otherwise the page will just continually refresh. This does not happen in IE but only in firefox 2.X(both on Linux and Win).

This is just a minor annoyance - but I'm hoping there is an easy fix. Let me know if should be sending this to netvibes instead.

This is just to confirm the problem (Firefox 2.X, windows XP). I have only one RTM module, but on a separate tab. I have to activate the tab before the reloading stops

I also agree that it is not a serious issue

Thanks for letting us know -- we'll check this out and see if there's anything on the RTM end that might be causing this.

I have one RTM module installed in Netvibes, and it continually refreshes at times. (Windows XP, Firefox 2.0.0.5/6)

Here's how to reproduce the problem:

1. Install RTM in Netvibes Tab "A" (for example)
2. Click on Netvibes Tab "B"
3. Press the Firefox 2.0 "Reload" button (or F5)

RTM will refresh continually until you click on Netvibes Tab "A"

leeb1: it might be too weak an idea but meanwhile RTM fixes the bug you might want to select

netvibes settings > general settings > performance > "Only load modules for current tab"

so inactive tab modules (this case rtm) don't affect your "Tab B".

(its a sensible setting for netvibes anyways if you have lots of tabs and/or slow connection)

That works perfectly. Didn't even check to think netvibes for that setting. Thanks.
