Postponed tasks not remaining postponed

(closed account) says:
This is to continue the Forum entitled "Postponing Tasks not keeping their postponed status", which was closed on 19 March for lack of responses within one month. In other words, I seem to share the issues described by users "amberlea", "arcanewinter", and "esaghir".

It goes without saying that I love the Remember the Milk service.

The time zone setting in Windows XP Professional matches that of Remember the Milk.

The name of a task in my account that isn't postponing correctly is "Role-play make-believe with Eileen". In a nutshell, this task is due today, with a Repeat setting of "after 3 days". Today I clicked Postpone on that task. After I switched to a different list's tab and then switched back, the due date of the task reverted to today. I was able to duplicate this issue at will three times this afternoon within the space of a couple of hours. By the way, changing the name of the task did not make any difference (for purposes of refreshing the record).

One of my hunches is that the problem might have something to do with tasks that have a Repeat setting of multiple days, such as "after 3 days", but this might just be a wild guess. I haven't had a chance to test this theory exhaustively.

I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.4, with the following extensions installed: Google Gears, Google Notebook, DownloadHelper, Skype, and DOM Inspector.

The only reliable work-around I've found is to manually change the due-date of each affected task.

Please advise.

natriley, thanks for reporting this. Can I ask if you access RTM from multiple computers? If so, would it be possible to double check that they all have the same timezone setting? Please me let me know and we can check into this further. Thanks!

Emily, the time zone setting in the Date and Time part of the Windows Control Panel is set identically on both computers. This setting also corresponds to the Country and Timezone settings in both Remember the Milk accounts.

Unfortunately, today I finally manually adjusted the task mentioned above, so that it is no longer a good test case for you to debug. If prior experience is any guide, I will experience the problem again multiple times over the coming month. If and when that happens, I will try to post a new test case for you to investigate. Sorry for delaying you. Thanks again!
