Daily repeats in iCal

Am I the only one who's having trouble with my daily repeats showing for every single day in my calendar?
Wouldn't it make more sense to only display the current ("pre-repeat") item? This would make the whole calendar much clearer and readable.
Or is there a way to do this I haven't found?
