cwzimmer, it should be displaying all the tasks for the week (as well as any overdue tasks, and tasks without a due date if you have that option selected). Can I ask if you're displaying tasks from all lists, or from a specific list (on 'Settings')? If a specific list, are you using a Smart List? Thanks!

Thanks for getting back. I do have the tasks for this week, plus overdue tasks, and dates without due dates. I haven't started fooling around with smart lists.

What I'd like, however, is a way to see all my tasks at once, including the ones that have a due date over a week from now. By scanning the whole list, I can think about how to organize my time better.

cwzimmer, sorry this isn't possible with the gadget -- currently it's just one week, with tasks with no due date being optional.

Why would I want to see tasks without a due date but not the tasks for next week? Surely the latter should take precedence.

vince, there are many people (including myself) that use tasks without a due date to mean tasks that are due 'ASAP', without setting a firm deadline to them.

So to us, tasks without a due date would take precedence over tasks due at least a week from now. "Buy Milk" may not have a firm due date, but "Call Grandpa to see how surgery went" might have a due date of 2 weeks from now. Which one do you need to see today? It depends on your own due-date system.

I think this is another example of why a 'start-date' feature would be extremely useful. The Google Gadget with a start date is then not ambiguous (why a week instead of 10 days? or 3 days?), because it could simply show tasks that have past their 'start-date'.
