Hi alwayzambi,
Thanks for getting in touch.
In IFTTT Gmail doesn't offer a link to the message itself, but it does offer the following for creating applets: from address, from name, subject, body, first attachment's URL/name, and received date/time.
Hope this helps a bit!

is it possible to add the body text to the description of the task. i tried adding // body tasks and maybe that wasnt it, since it was added to the subject

Hi alwayzambi,
Using // should work in the applet's ingredients to add a note, but it may currently add to the task name as well. This is on our list to investigate.
Let us know if that doesn't work for you, or if we can help with anything else!

Using Zapier allows the body of the email to be stored as a note..btw not sure if that helps anything.
