Send tasks to android calendar

boovy7 says:
I may just be tired and missing this, and it may have been asked 10000s of times, but is there a way to set up a task and at the same time add it to the default android calendar?

Hi boovy7,
The default calendar app on your Android device is generally connected to the calendar associated with your Google account. If you subscribe to the iCalendar Events feed using these instructions, tasks you add in Remember The Milk should be available in both Google Calendar and the calendar on your Android device.

Hope that helps!

Hi Brendan,

Thanks for your reply. After initial success with google calendar it's now pretty awful and unreliable. I added some tasks through RTM over 12 hours ago and they still haven't interfaced with google calendar. Looking back through posts on RTM (back to 2009!!) this appears to have been an ongoing issue for many people, so I don't understand why RTM have persevered with using an application that is drastically dragging down the performance of your own?

Until buying RTM pro I had been using astrid, and when adding a task it also gave me an option to add this directly to my android calendar or google calendar. This was instantaneous and therefore much more reliable.

It just seems a little disappointing that after 3 years of people suffering these problems, RTM haven't rectified what seems like the only (albeit major) downside to what is otherwise an excellent product

Hi boovy7,
If your calendar feeds aren't updating, would you be able to contact us via email so we can take a look? As you mentioned, some users have reported that Google Calendar will not refresh feeds in a timely manner, but we are able to at least verify that your changes are being included in the feed from Remember The Milk.

Thanks!
