Bug: Chrome plugin doesn't allow two symbols: ( or &

I'm current running Chrome 18.0.1025.142 beta-m and I just installed the RTM extension. When I try to add a task in Gmail, it doesn't allow me to use & or ( in the task. All other symbols work, just not those two.
