Smart Add - delimiter to ignore delimiters

...without a nonsensical tag "458" being created? Can I put a "\" in front it or something?

You can surround it in quotation marks, i.e.

Call Tom Brewsky ^tomorrow to get status on tasks "#456-45" !1

The rest of the properties (tomorrow, priority 1) will still be parsed as expected.
