Problem with RTM, Firefox 2.0, and Google Personalized Homepage

free.thought says:
I added the RTM module to my Google Personalize Homepage. The first time I load the page, I have to log in to RTM to view my tasks. Fair enough.

But then every few minutes, or when I switch to another tab and come back, my tasks dissapear and the log in prompt appears again!

This does not happen in MS IE 7, only in Firefox.

Anyone has an idea what setting to change to remove this annoyance? I checked all the obvious things.

Thank you
Valery

Valery, are you using any ad blocking extensions in Firefox?

Sometimes these don't allow cookies to be set in iframes (Remember The Milk is contained in an iframe on Google Personalized Homepage). If you're using an ad blocker, this is a possible reason for the login not being remembered.

It may be necessary to add 'www.rememberthemilk.com' and 'static.rememberthemilk.com' as exceptions in any ad blockers and in your Firefox preferences. (You can change your privacy settings in Firefox by going to the 'Tools' menu then 'Options', then clicking on 'Privacy' and then the 'Exceptions' button.)

If the problem continues, there's another method to change the cookie behaviour in Firefox, which I've posted in this topic (the same problem occurs in Google Calendar too). Hope this helps!

Going to Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies > Exceptions... and explicitly allowing cookies from www.rememberthemilk.com and static.rememberthemilk.com solved the problem.

Thank you Emily!
