iCalendar export errors in Thunderbird 5 and Lightning 1.04
pavel.ungr says:
I get error when using RTM in newest Thunderbird with Lightning. See bellow.
[Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x804b0012 (NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_PROTOCOL) [nsIIOService2.newChannelFromURI]" nsresult: "0x804b0012 (NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_PROTOCOL)" location: "JS frame :: file:///C:/Users/Pavel%20Ungr/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/zsuepyze.default/extensions/%7Be2fda1a4-762b-4020-b5ad-a41df1933103%7D/components/calICSCalendar.js :: :: line 150" data: no]
Other calendars works well. Please can you help with my pro RTM account?
Thanks a lot!

After upgrading to Thunderbird 5 my RTM calandar no longer imports. I tried deleting and recreating the calendar in Thunderbird but no change. I don't get any errors it just doesn't import anything.

If you have problems using Thunderbird to import your iCalendar, would it be possible to try another iCalendar-supporting application to see if the problem is specific to Thunderbird or not.
If it seems to happen in any application, it'd be great if you could contact us so we could discuss some more details and/or look at your specific subscription.
Hope this helps!

TB5 + Lightning 1.0b4 --> RTM iCalendar don't work
For anyone who is encountering an error using their iCalendar feed in Thunderbird 5, would you be able to contact us so we take a closer look?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I just upgraded to Thunderbird 5.0 and Lightning 1.0b4 and the first thing I noticed was a popup window asking me to specify a handler for webcal links every time I started Thunderbird. I eventually figured out it was because of a ToodleDo calendar I added several months ago. The ToodleDo calendar address starts with webcal:// so I changed the "webcal" portion to "http" and now seems to be working again.
Still, I think it would be better to handle webcal links "as is" since many calendar/todo sites refer to webcal links in their documentation, etc.

joe.vornehm says:
This seems to be a bug in Lightning 1.0b4. Upgrading to Thunderbird 5.0 also upgrades to Lightning 1.0b4 by default. Changing "webcal://" to "http://" is supposedly a work-around. For those who are interested, the Bugzilla entry for the bug is here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=668474

Switching from "webcal" to "http" seems to have fixed the problem for me.

Thanks a lot.My problem has been cleared by switching from "webcal" to "http".

@joe.vornehm, thanks! That looks like it worked and seeing the buzilla entry was extra good. Looks like this should be fixed in the next version (1.05b) of Lightning, folks.
