Missing iCalendar Link for Smart List

itraynis says:
Hello Milky Friends:

My first post here! I created a Smart List to see all my completed tasks. The rules set for it are very simple:

"It shows tasks matching: status:completed and includeArchived:true"

Unfortunately, there is no iCalendar link for me to use with a third-party calendar software. How can we make it visible just like the other Smart Lists?

Thanks!

Because completed tasks are not included in the iCalendar (Events) feed, a search that includes "status:completed" will not have an iCalendar link available. You can see this if you subscribe to the iCalendar (Events) feed for one of your other lists. Only the incomplete tasks will be shown on your calendar.

No Problemo Berndano. Thanks for responding!

I'm a bit confused....so is there a way for me to subscribe to an iCalendar that ONLY shows completed tasks? The reason I ask is because I already subscribe to my other lists and they show-up nicely as one color on my iCal, but I also want the completed tasks to show-up there as well (not disappear once they're completed). Does that make sense?

Thanks!

Completed tasks are included in the standard iCalendar feed. However, this feed is generally used to display items on a To Do list. It sounds like you want to display the tasks as events on your calendar, for which you would need to use the iCalendar (Events) feed.

Unfortunately, it's not currently possible to include completed tasks in the iCalendar (Events) feed. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Okay, thanks for the answer at the very least. I know that the business strategy is to keep the functionality of the system to it's bare essentiales and avoid clutter. I hope that there would be a way to bring this simple feature into the system without adding anything noticeable to the front-end. Gracias.

Thanks for your feedback on this!

You may want to vote for this feature in our Ideas forum as well. This is a good way to show support for features you would like to see implemented in the future.

Thanks!
