Chrome loads RTM very slow?!
debuck3 says:
The help advice is to run RTM on Chrome, but it loads so slow. The initial page comes up with no tasks, and no ability to click links/tabs. After several seconds (like 15-20), everything populates and works normally. No other site I visit behaves like this.
I'm running Chrome 11.0.696.71
Is there a setting I'm missing, or a bug?

Would it be possible to contact us so we can get some additional information from you about this issue? We'd love to take a closer look.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I am also experiencing periodic slowness running Chrome 11.0.696.71 - upwards of 45 seconds to add 3 or 4 tags. (circular status wheel spins)

I disabled Google Gears and it appears to be running quite a bit faster.
We've been having some problems with the latest few versions of Gears. If the site works with Gears disabled, we recommend keeping it disabled to prevent problems like you're seeing; sorry for the inconvenience! We've posted some more details on our status blog.
Hope that helps!

I checked about:plugins and I don't have Gears to disable. It still runs slow.
debuck3,
If the site is still slow, and you do not have Gears installed, would you be able to contact us so we can get some additional details on your situation?
Thanks!

When I cleared the cache/cookies in my Chrome browser as instructed in the email from your tech guys, I discovered a greater DNS issue with my computer. Apparently, my internet browsing was depending on that cache to resolve the DNS. My husband (a network expert) applied a temporary fix, and RTM is working like a dream. There's no lag at all. I can't say what fixed it, but I'm happy to have it resolved!
For the curious, the Bonjour service that is hidden with my Adobe Creative Suite causes and extra 0.0.0.0 entry in the routing table. I have to give the Bonjour service the boot, but in the mean time - I can have reliable internet again by running a CMD prompt (admin level) "route delete 0.0.0.0" and run ipconfig release & renew.
