iCalendar (events) repeat 'after 1 day' shows every day

I have a subscription to a list via iCalendar events. A task repetition "After 1 day" appears on every day in my calendar. Endless. It is intended that the task appears today and once finished, the next day.

This can't believe it is intended this way. Please investigate.

Unfortunately, the distinction between "every" and "after" repeating events is not recognized by the iCalendar feed. They are both daily repeating events with no end date in the feed.
