Automatically unchecking item after postponing

Is there any way to make an item automatically uncheck itself after I postpone it? As it is now, I have to manually uncheck the item after I postpone it. If I forget, then when I go to postpone another item, it will postpone them both.

In the meantime, it may be helpful to use the "Select None" keyboard shortcut (the 'n' key) to quickly make sure no tasks are selected.
