Unfortunately Google Maps does not make UK street address searching available to external websites (I believe there are some licensing issues with UK data).
The countries that currently support street address searching are: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, and the US.
We've made it possible to search for locations in the UK (e.g. "Edinburgh"), but unfortunately we can't provide street address or postcode searching until Google makes this available. Sorry about this!
