Unfinished tasks

yang.gao says:
Hello, I'm sorry if this is redundant to an question already asked but is there a way in RTM to mark a task "incomplete"? Currently I just either have to delete the task or keep having it show up at the top of the list on my to-do's. I'd like to keep track of those tasks that I didn't complete but don't intend on finishing.

Thanks for the help.

You could create a special list for that and move the task there (Maybe/sometime in GTD terminology)

Unfortunately, you can't currently mark a task "incomplete" as you described. Sorry for the inconvenience.

In the meantime, you may be able to work around this by moving them to a separate list, as rajjan suggested. Another option is use tags to mark the tasks as incomplete, then create a Smart List to exclude these incomplete tasks.

Hope that helps!

I'd also like to vote for this feature. There are some tasks that I do recurringly, and I'd like the ability to track how often I actually complete them. For example, I have a goal of practicing an instrument for 15 minutes every day. If I miss a day, I don't want to mark the task as complete, but it's the only way to cleanly get rid of the outdated task.

I'd love to be able to see what percentage of the time I mark recurring tasks as incomplete vs. "dropped".
