Lack Of Development
Maybe it's just me but there appears to be a lack of development in the RTM web application.
I see plenty of ideas and suggestions posted little in the way of new features implemented.
Even the RTM blog is little more that Tips and Trick Tuesday entries.
I've been using RTM for a number of years and in terms of functionality it's the best todo list application. However, over that time I don't recall seeing any significant developments in the core application. No calendar, no sub-lists, no creation dates, no UI improvements.
Maybe I'm being unfair, but RTM does seem to be standing still.

Hi steve23606,
We have a lot going on behind the scenes, but I totally know what you mean about things seeming quiet! I'm going to see what we can do to share more about what we're up to.
We've got a bunch of things cooking -- both mobile and web (we still love the web app, I promise! :). Some are coming very soon (the iPad app is going into the Pro Tester Program this month, and then launching shortly after), and there's other stuff that we'll share as we get closer (as a general rule, we try not to pre-announce while it's still a work-in-progress, as things can always change).
We've also been growing our team to help us get everything done (we added 2 engineers last month, and have another engineer joining later this month, and still have positions available if anyone is interested :). In the past unfortunately we've been a bit under-resourced on the web side while we've done the mobile and sync stuff, but we've been working to correct that imbalance, as we know we still have tons to do on the web side of things. I apologise for the slower-than-we'd-like updates in that department. :(

Thank you for the update, Emily. My thanks to Steve, too, for giving voice to a sentiment he does not hold alone. While I know the RTM team has always been understandably reluctant to pre-announce things, I think your comments here would form the basis for a useful blog post, which might reach many more people than this lonely forum thread.
You have many dedicated users and fans, and we are anxious more than anything because we fear a stagnant RTM might be a prelude to an ex-RTM, and that would be awful.
Thanks for all of your efforts to make RTM as useful as it can be.

You guys aren't the only ones that have been wondering what the future for RTM holds. Hopefully we'll see some updates soon :) Love using your services but, like always, there are things that could be improved.

The web app could sure use some overdue developments/improvements in the notes and scheduling departments.
Mobile access is cool, but the webapp is still the main interface you work with when sitting down at office/home and doing some serious task management.

Thanks for the update! I know I sound like a political junkie when I say it, but I am happy to hear that you are not "ignoring your base". It may be my opinion, but I believe that the web application is the core upon which the rest of the interface stuff is built.
Without a solid web piece, the iPad/Android/Sync stuff would not be so useful ;)
