Netvibes widget and Firefox 4.0

pascal.quantin says:
Hi,
when using the beta versions of Firefox 4.0 (beta 9 in my case), the Netvibes widget is too small and many lines are not displayed properly.
I know that normally you do not support beta releases, but as Firefox 4.0 is expected by end of February I thought it was worth posting the bug so that it can get fixed for the official delivery of Firefox 4.0.

Best regards,
Pascal.

I have to 2nd this one also. I'd really like to switch to either Chrome or Firefox 4, but the Netvibes widget does not work correctly in either one.

Don't mean to sound ungrateful, because RTM is literally life-changing for me and I brag you guys up every chance I get!

Yes, I am having this problem as well. I have 2 browsers open at all times now - firefox 4 beta and Safari, which displays correctly. Thanks for working on this!

Hi,

now that Firefox 4.0 RC1 is out and the final release is expected in the next two weeks, do you plan to update the widget ?
I can hardly leave without my RTM Netvibe module and Firefox 4 is so much superior to 3.6 that it would be a shame to stay stuck on an older release.

Thanks,
Pascal.

Had the same problem with the RTM Netvibe module, went to http://www.rememberthemilk.com/services/netvibes/ re-installed the module from there - now works

greglyon says:
Still not working for me in Firefox 4, even after re-installation. Module height is too short for list. In Chrome, the opposite problem; module height is too tall--way too much blank space below the list. The Chrome problem has been the case for over a year, with no progress despite "thanks for pointing it out" responses.

max.wilbert says:
Hmmmm... I tried reinstalling the module too. Didn't help...

The module still only displays about 4 tasks... the rest of the week is invisible unless I click through. So frustrating!

Is there any plan to fix this issue?

Same problem here. Plus it also occurs in Internet Explorer 9. I tested it on two different PCs.

Might be helpful: Clicking into white space of the widget and using cursor keys to scroll is working as a workaround for me.

Is someone listening out there? This is a very unpleasant bug for me (using Firefox 4).
Posted 13 years ago
zaoth says:
I'm also hoping for it to be fixed soon. It's been five weeks since it has been added to the investigation list by brendan. In my widget, with many overdue tasks, the tasks for today aren't even visible anymore to me - really not very useful.

I just hit this problem myself. I thought if I waited a couple of months to upgrade to Firefox 4, any bugs would have been worked out -- so this is a really nasty surprise.

kirklarsen says:
Would it be possible to get an update on this? It would be nice to know if this is going to be addressed in the near future, or if I should start looking into alternative means of getting my RTM fix!
Posted 13 years ago
cory.panshin says:
I did find that by using the Tab key I was able to scroll down further in the list. It's not a real solution of course -- and I haven't found any way of getting back up to the top except hitting reload -- but it's a partial stopgap.

pascal.quantin says:
In fact it seems related to the "Always use HTTPS" option:
- when the option is not activated, the widget works as expected
- when it is activated, the widget does not work (window is too small)
Posted 13 years ago
zaoth says:
"Always use HTTPS" was set to off already, when I wanted to change the setting, and still the window is too small (in FF5 and IE9). Please fix it for good... :(

Now I also opened a ticket for the issue and it has been put on the list to investigate.... again.
