Repeating Tasks in Calendar Feed Live Forever Past Their End Date

mb01915 says:
This question was posted a year ago. I have the same issue with the repeating task repeating indefinately past the end date in the calendar feed. Have you looked into this and if so what is the resolution?

I have several tasks that repeat multiple times and end on a certain date. i.e. "Repeat every week until 3/1/2010"
On my google calendar feed, the repeating event doesn't stop on that date, but continues every week into the future, hopelessly cluttering my calendar. What is the problem?

mb01915,
It seems that the iCalendar doesn't include the end date set; this is on our list to investigate. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Once the tasks are completed in Remember the Milk and no longer in the task list, will the indefinite repeating go away in Google Calendar?

brendan says:
Yes, once all the occurrences of a repeating task are completed, Google Calendar should not show the task repeating in the future.

Hope that helps!

What about the initial problem? Why do these indefinite repeating events occur and when will it be fixed?

brendan says:
As Andrew indicated, the indefinite repeat occurs because the iCalendar feed doesn't define an end date for the series. It has been added to our list to investigate; sorry for any inconvenience in the meantime.

It would be good to have this fixed, I can't use the ical feed for mac or the one for Google calendar because of this problem. :-/

PS Is it possible to subscribe to threads in this forum platform so that I can keep up-to-date? I can't find any function for this...
