How to search "current year" tasks ?

Hi,

I need to get "current year" tasks' list .
Search should be generic (independent of year digits) as I want to create smart list based on that.

I tried search criteria as dueBefore:"1-Jan" but it gives blank/overdue tasks.

RTM converts dates without year info to the next occurance. Jan 1 becomes Jan 1 2012. In this case it seems simple to once per year edit the search criteria, for this year a
dueAfter:"2010-12-31" AND dueBefore:"2012-01-01"
should work fine.
