How to stop repeating tasks from repeating?

In an attempt to do this, I changed the repeat to "daily until today". It now says it repeats "every day until Tue 7 Dec 10", which is what I was hoping for. But:
There's still one listed for tomorrow. It says it's due "Wed 8 Dec 10", but that it repeats "every day until Tue 7 Dec 10".
How can I accomplish this? Thanks in advance.

You can delete the latest instance; that won't affect the other completed instances you'd like to keep for your records.
