iCal feeds devour CPU

Reposting due to that utterly... uh... cowpie... "closed due to inactivity" rule.
On my computer, when I give Lightning my iCal feeds (one each for inbox, personal, and work), it hangs and devours 100% of one CPU core for at least 50 seconds every time it reloads the remote calendars. I can't imagine Google allowing that sort of cpu-devouring behavior on their servers.
I've used Lightning with plenty of other Google and iCal calendars, and I've never had any others behave nearly as badly as RTM's feeds. If RTM is indeed giving thousands of Daylight-Savings Time descriptions back into the 1900s ( http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/help/5815/ ), that would explain the cpu-devouring behavior.
How can I get the RTM feeds to stop hammering my CPU? I'd use a stronger word than "hammering", but it wouldn't be very appropriate...

danagoyette,
If you haven't done so already, would it be possible to submit an iCalendar Feeds issue report via our support system?
Please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, just click on "I'd like to report a new issue" on the left.
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Thanks!
