how do I disable smart add

I am trying to disable "smart add". I read the FAQ on this, but my android does not have this setting option. When I go to settings-general--my only options at this point are: "start screen" and "list" I checked other tabs in settings to see if it was placed somewhere else on android, but I could not find any options to disable "smart add"

It's not possible to disable Smart Add from within the Android app; sorry for the inconvenience. (Those instructions apply to the website.)
