Charset for reminders

Hi. Loving RTM, but having trouble with mobile reminders.
As an American in Japan, I want to see the RTM webpage in its native form (English), but be able to enter tasks in Japanese. The webpage (utf-8) works like a charm, and my reminders to gMail/gTalk are fine, but my AU phone can't handle messages in utf-8.
The reminders are converted to iso-2022-jp if I change my language preference to Japanese, but I really would rather see the webpage in its native form rather than translated to Japanese. The translation is great, and I appreciate your efforts, but....
So - here's my question. Would it be possible for .jp mobile reminders (AU, Docomo, Vodafone, Willcom) to be converted to iso-2022-jp regardless of the language preference? Would this mess things up for European users in Japan? Maybe two language preferences - for viewing and reminders?
And I also would LOVE to be able to set the date format to YYYY-MM-DD :)

thomas.6801, thanks for reporting this!
It's a bit of a tricky situation, but we've changed it so that all reminders to the Japanese mobile networks are now sent as iso-2022-jp (regardless of language preference on the site).
As users of the Japanese networks are most likely to want Japanese or English reminders, this should cover the majority of people (if it becomes a problem with users in Japan wanting us to support other character sets for reminders, we'll look at making this a specific option).

No problem :) If you come across any other issues with mobiles (or anything else!), please let us know -- we're working to improve our support for mobile devices in Japan, so really appreciate any reports of issues.
