Often times when I name a task, I will put a date or the word 'today' as a memory trigger, then set the due date for a few days before so I know to begin thinking about it. As amazing as the smart add is, it is sensitive to the first date it sees and defines it as the due date. Is there an escape character that can be used to tell the field to ignore the immediate date after the escape character and to just treat it as text?
