Locations error: "a is undefined"
shiven says:
hi there,
i keep getting this error in the firefox (3.6.3/ Windows 7) error console:
Error: a is undefined
Source File: http://maps.gstatic.com/intl/en_us/mapfiles/140g/maps2.api/main.js
Line: 480
the google map's controls (zoom in/out etc.) never show up over the locations map.
plus, i cannot add any new locations...
i am running firefox without any add-ons whatsoever and my cache/history permissions are all clean.
thanks!

If you haven't done so already, would it be possible to submit a Locations issue report via our support system?
Please select the issue that you're experiencing from the list on the left, and follow the steps shown. If your issue isn't listed, just click on "I'd like to report a new issue" on the left.
Your report should provide all the info that we need to investigate further, but we'll be in touch via email if we require any more details.
Thanks!

I may have a solution, at least for Firefox.... if you use the NoScript extension add the following lines to Options>Advanced>XSS>Anti-XSS Protection Exceptions:
^http?://[a-z]+\.rememberthemilk\.com/[^"<>\?%]+$
^http?://[a-z]+\.google\.com/[^"<>\?%]+$
However, why I still get the same error on Opera and Chrome, where I do not have any extensions installed, is still an unanswered question...

OK. Scratch that. It does not seem to help. Even after running Firefox from a brand new install, I have the same issue. Doing multiple rounds of "Shift+Reload" makes the Google Maps controls appear...
Andrew, is there anything else I can do to help resolve this issue?
Thanks.

Have you got any greasemonkey scripts running? I had a few specifically for RTM:
- Widely
- Smaller Tabs, smart lists only
- Blacken and Enlarge
Disabling Greasemonkey fixed it for me in Firefox. Not sure which script was causing the problems.

Just enabled greasemonkey again and it still appears to work. May have just been coincidence.

Seems to be very random for me too... I hope someone at RTM is looking into it... emailed them again... haven't heard back yet --- which is OK, as long as they fix this problem ASAP...
Get working on it Mr. Bob T. Monkey !!
