Is there a way to make RTM stop automatically setting dates/times for my new tasks?

tynan.power says:
If I enter a new task that contains a date/time-— like "Make arrangements for party on May 10" — RTM automatically interprets the date and/or time and sets them as a due date. This is not helpful to me as most of the time there is some preliminary thing that needs to happen---I don't want to be reminded on May 10th of the party for which I should have ordered food, music and a venue weeks ago!

If I'm entering a tasks on the RTM site, it's less of a problem, because I can make sure to correct it immediately. However, if I'm emailing the task to my inbox, I may not realize the due date was set automatically.

This is especially frustrating because it removes the date/time info from the task name, so I have to remember to re-enter that info into the task name before changing the due date---or I will have lost the relevant info. (I'll be left with "Make arrangements for party on" with a due date of "today"...but now I don't know which party this was for.)

Does anyone have a suggestion?

andrewski (Remember The Milk) says:
You can disable Smart Add for a given task by prepending it with the ~ or by surrounding a portion of the name with quotation marks. (The latter method is most useful if you want to add something else with Smart Add.)

So either
~Make arrangements for party on May 10
Make arrangements for party on "May 10" May 1

should work for you.

You could also turn off Smart Add altogether if you never wish to use it.

Hope this helps!
