Escaping Number Sign (#) in Smart Add
dws90 says:
I use RTM to keep track of homework assignments, which means I often want to enter things with number signs. For example:
Section 1.1 #2,4,5,23,35
However, the Smart Add box interprets everything after the # as a tag, and I have to spend a bunch of time fixing it. Is there any way to escape the # sign so that it's treated as a number sign and not the tag indicator?

You can either surround (part of) your task in quotation marks, e.g. Section 1.1 "#2,4,5" or disable Smart Add for a given task by prepending it with a tilde, e.g. ~Section 1.1 #2,4,5.

dws90,
If you enclose the # and number in quotation marks it will stay in the task as text rather than converting to a smart tag.
